Welcome to SecureRent CMR. By utilizing our website, vetting services, or submitting data to our platform, you (whether a Property Owner, Landlord, or Prospective Tenant) agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.

PART 1: TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Nature of Services

SecureRent CMR is a real estate risk-management and intelligence agency. We provide background checks, financial capability assessments, and reference verification for prospective tenants. We issue a "Clearance Report" based exclusively on the data available at the time of verification.

2. Fees and Payments

• Tenant Vetting Fee: The 10,000 CFA fee paid by the prospective tenant covers the administrative costs of the background intelligence audit. This fee is strictly non-refundable, regardless of whether the final Clearance Report results in a Green (Approved) or Red (Rejected) status.
• Premium Protection Retainer: The 25,000 CFA yearly fee paid by Landlords covers SecureRent's management and coordination services. If legal eviction becomes necessary, official Bailiff (Huissier de Justice) fees, court stamps, and police enforcement costs are separate disbursements to be paid by the Landlord at our discounted partner rates.

3. The "Bad Tenant" Registry & Defamation

Landlords may submit names to our Defaulters Registry free of charge. By submitting a tenant, the Landlord legally swears that the debt is valid and agrees to provide physical or digital proof (unpaid lease, bounced checks, or official communications).

If a Landlord submits a tenant's name maliciously, falsely, or out of personal retaliation without financial proof, the Landlord bears sole legal responsibility for any claims of defamation. SecureRent CMR acts strictly as a secure data repository and reserves the right to remove any listing that lacks sufficient evidence.

PART 2: PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION POLICY

1. Data Collection

To execute our Intelligence Audits, we collect sensitive personal data from prospective tenants, including but not limited to:

• Government-issued Identification (CNI, Passport).
• Financial Statements (Bank statements, Mobile Money/MoMo PDF records).
• Live GPS Location Data (Workplace/Business pin verification).
• Previous Landlord Contact Information.

2. Consent and Data Usage

By submitting their documents to SecureRent CMR via our official WhatsApp channels or website, the tenant provides explicit consent for our team to verify this data against third-party systems (such as Truecaller, employer references, and previous landlords). This data is compiled solely to generate the proprietary Clearance Report for the reviewing Landlord.

3. Data Security & Non-Disclosure

We respect the privacy of Cameroonian citizens. Your financial documents and ID are stored in secure, encrypted digital vaults. SecureRent CMR will never sell, trade, or publicly publish your personal data to third-party marketers.

The "Bad Tenant Registry" is a closed, internal database used exclusively by SecureRent analysts to cross-reference new applicants. We do not publish lists of defaulters on public forums or social media to ensure compliance with Cameroonian cybercrime and data protection frameworks.

4. Right to Deletion (Clearance Protocol)

Tenants whose names appear on our internal Registry have the right to rehabilitate their financial standing. Upon providing verified proof that the original debt to the Landlord has been settled in full, and upon payment of the SecureRent Administrative Clearance Fee, the tenant's data will be completely expunged from the Defaulters Registry, restoring their ability to be certified for future housing.
